Grafting ST Maui onto Tebow/Young

I decided to graft a scion of ST Maui onto Tebow. I hope it works.
I read on a web page to do this. Its a variation on bark grafting.
I have no clue if I did this right, I tried to line up the cambium.
This photo is a bit blurry.
Tied up…
… and bagged.
Et Voilá.
Update: failed.

Desperate chip budding.

Well, my Maha Chanok has died and I happen to have the one last piece of scion wood that still looked green. So in a desperate attempt to save the variety, I cut off three chips and grafted one onto my Lemon Zest graft…

… and the other two onto this stump of a root-stock.
I hope it works but I am keeping my anticipation low.

Next day, after transplant.

The foggy lens tells that this greenhouse is humid & hot. Which I hope will help with the transplant shock. ST Maui is still holding onto most of its leaves after a week.

Coconut Cream, Spirit of '76 & Carrie #3; all repotted.

I thought I try simply transplanting with original soil and see what happens. No bare-rooting.
The only container I had left was a 3 gallon.

Just in case, I grafted Coconut Cream…
… and Spirit of '76 onto seedings.
I can only hope the grafts work. I had a tough time with grafting CC while trying to match diameters. I did more grafting but didn't take pictures. Will try to post those tomorrow.

ST Maui; bare-rooted and repotted.

Not sure if I should have just put into a plastic pot. I decided to stick to what I know and bare-rooted the tree (although not as thorough this time) and repotted it into a 3 gallon SmartPot.
Here it is in Forrest's greenhouse.
I hope the heat and humidity in the greenhouse will help it overcome transplant shock. Will keep an eye on it.

ST Maui mango

It was a delightful surprise that my producer bought me 4 mango trees. I haven't gotten the other three yet but this one a ST Maui came first via USPS.
Here it is without the plastic netting. I'll need to give it a good washing before potting it up. I might go to plastic pots because I'm out of the tall 5 gallon GroPots.
Will post more when the others arrive.
Which are 'Coconut Cream', 'Spirit of 76' & another Carrie (though 7 gallon).

My 'Maha Chanok' graft.

Maha Chanok (graft)
A look at the graft and I see a bud pushing through. I guess the graft worked. I also believe the heat & humidity in the greenhouse has allowed it to be successful.

This seedling has almost been continuously growing. Again due to the greenhouse.
