Maha Chanook

Update: I had to cancel as the seller told me he couldn't ship to CA. Oh well.

Today I order from eBay seller "Greenthumb3000" a Maha Chanook.

I hope it turns out to be healthy.

Scales

I discovered scales on one of my 'Young' mango (bent Tebow). I figured out that they were causing the little tree to ooze a lot of clear sap. Anyhow, I used my finger nails to scrape off the little buggers and then I sprayed all the leaves down with rubbing alcohol. I'm gonna try to harass the scale mites to death. Fortunately, infestation was limited to just the one Young tree. I also found spider mites on the Manila mango. I sprayed hat one down with SNS Spider mite spray then I followed up with rubbing alcohol. So far I haven't seen them.
I hate these insects.

Update: Hmm, I discovered that Carrie has a some infestation. Blah.

April 21st, 2011

Lancetilla is having weird problems. Though it still has some healthy looking new leaves a bunch of the leaves had their main vein turn black and shrivel up and fall off. I am worried Lance has some sort of viral or bacterial problem?
Graham is a great plant. I hope it produces more shoots.
Carrie is pushing new buds.
Julie's new flush of leaves. I hope it makes more.

Pickering's new leaves.

Go go go! Wow such a tiny plant now. It'll be years before its big enough for fruit.
New big leaves. I have to say that Pickering is a great mango plant. It won't give up.
