Update March 27th, 2011

 Young brothers looking good.
 Carrie's flowers are huge.
Graham's new leaves are getting big. Not sure if I ought to cut off his blooms.
 Lance trying to make leaves.
Pickering is having problems. I think its gonna loose its new big leaf; the twig is rotting for some reason? I am hoping the new leaf will keep it alive but its just getting smaller and smaller. I can't figure out why the stem is rotting. Maybe bacterial or viral disease? Who knows?
Well I finally cut off Julie's stem as it had rotted to black.
Maybe it'll survive, now that it has two new big leaves.
Glenn looking regal.

Julie #4 new growth

flush of leaves.

March 22nd, 2011

 Graham's leaves are getting bigger.
 Lancetilla making another effort.
Pickering's new second leaf getting bigger. I noticed it aborted one of its leaf bud near the top. I guess its putting all its resources into the new leaf at the bottom.
 Carrie's flowers are big.
 The Young mangoes.
Julie #4 flushing new leaves on one of its branches. I wonder if it will do the same on the others.
Close up of the new leaves.
 Glenn.
Valencia Pride. I removed the stick used to straighten out one of its branches. It seem to work?
Julie #1, I was wondering when it will happen. Julie is finally giving up on its main stem and it is showing necrosis. The small twigs are shriveling and much of the stem is blackening. I think the side shoots from the bottom is going to take over. The two new leaves are so far healthy.
Manilla's new leaves look good. Though it does look like its first flush of leaves are chlorotic.

Update March 18th, 2011

 Graham is really doing well.
Pickering is really giving making an effort.
Lancetilla is doing well and is pushing new growth. Although now, I am worried about the overall shape that the new branches will take.
My 'Young' mangoes new leaves are hardening up.
Carrie's flower panicle is impressive for such a small plant. I don't know if it will fruit?
Southern Blush is pretty dead. I can't imagine how it could produce growth and I wish I knew exactly why it died. Maybe root rot?

Julie #4 has new growth.

One of the branches if showing growth.
I see what may be buds on the other branches but so far only one above.

Update March 11th

Compared to its other leaves, Julie #1 put out two new leaves that are the biggest so far. I'm hopin they don't drop off. The growth from the bottom seem the most "vigorous" while I am wondering about higher up doing not so well.
Lancetilla still alive and healthy. No signs of rot or spongy bark. Its leaf buds are pushing out so a good sign.
Graham
Glenn
'Young' (aka Tebow) looking good. Leaves hardening up a bit.
Pickering making another leaf. I hope its huge too.

Poor Southern Blush

I cut off all the spongy rotted wood. This is all that is left that looked healthy(?). I doubt she can survive but I still hope that somewhere around the base (above the graft-line) that a bud will appear. But like Edward it looks grim. I can't believe Southern Blush took such a dire turn so quickly!? I don't know if it has any more reserves to produce new leaves?

Mango status

Well, Southern Blush has problems. First it lost all its new leaves and the bark feels spongy. Probably some sort of rot. I'm not sure if all this was caused by under or over watering? Maybe both? If it manages to show growth, I'm gonna have to prune off all the rot/spongy bark areas.
Lancetilla lost all its new leaves too but there are still new buds and it has leaves for photosynthesis. So I feel more optimistic about its outcome.
Graham is flowering still and putting out new leaf buds.
Pickering has a huge leaf!
Worried that Glenn might be next to have water stress but so far looking good. Noticed dark spots on one of its twigs but... ?

Carrie's two flower panicles getting bigger. Wonder if it will fruit??
