Glenn is amazing!

Okay, with all the fruit off Glenn, I repotted it today into a new Geopot. The branches are twisted from the weight of the fruit but I hope it adds character.
Here is one of the Glenn mangoes. It has a lovely color. It was perfectly ripe!
This Glenn was way better than the first one I ate. It was sweet, fiberless and the skin was thin and edible! The "meat" was sweet right to the skin! Amazing!
Delicious!

Eating Edwards.

These two mangoes are Edwards. One was smaller than the other but I was amazed that my tiny tree even made one of them that big.
I picked both fruit before they ripened on the tree; so I gave them a few days on the counter.
The smaller one started to go bad. I ate as much as I could and it was nice but parts of it was off.
I wasn't sure if the bigger one was ripe yet so I took a chance and carved it up a couple of days later.
Unfortunately, it wasn't ripe. There were spots that were ripe and it was great but most of it was sour. Oh well, maybe next year.
Et Voilá.

Edward II, fruit harvest.

Edward
I accidentally knocked the big fruit off the tree; while trying to move it. So I decided to harvest the other and put them into a bag with a pear to ripen it on the kitchen counter.
I think the black spots is anthracnose.
With the fruit off, I decided to transplant Edward into its new Geopot. I forgot to take photos of the transplant but there were a lot of roots in there. Very happy to see that my mango trees are happy in these pots.

Here are some of my mango trees moved onto my deck. It was windy and starting to get cold.
Started moving my other trees into a brighter area but I got cold and gave up when cloud cover took away the warmth of the sun.
More photos later.

Ate my first 'Glenn' mango!

Today I ate my Glenn Mango. I wasn't sure if it was ripe but I figured if it came off the tree easily, it must be ripe.
The color was lovely and inviting I have to say.
Eating it was a joy. The flavor wasn't very strong but it was sweet and the flesh totally fiberless!
The seed was small. No doubt due to the small size of the tree. I planted it and hope it will germinate.
Et Voilá!

First harvested mango of 2013

This mango came off my Glenn tree effortlessly. It smells nice, so I am wondering if its ripe. So very happy!
