Julie and Pickering

I ate my first 'Julie' in probably 40 years. I was happy that it was delicious. Because the tree was small the fruit was tiny. It was only ripe on one side but man it was good! I wish I had a full sized tree.

This is my last 'Pickering'. It was sweet and fiberless. This skin was super thin and can be eaten. I discovered that the seed inside had germinated and was pushing a root through the flesh. At first I though it was a worm but was glad to see that it was a tap-root. Hmmmm.
